Our story

I’ve had a love for old houses and antiques since I was young. It all started with a wrong turn down a one way in Mount Vernon, Ohio one day and saw a FOR SALE sign by the road. The yard was overgrown and you could barely see the house.

I’ve been a photographer since I was 13. The manor sold me with a flood of natural light and a good bargain of a price. I’m inspired by the ethereal and otherworldly, creating a unique space to share with others while I bring this 1860s home back to life.

The History

The Seymour Estate, 1860s. While not much history has been found, the local library has helped us get a good estimate on the year the house was built. What we know is that John and Sarah Seymour owned a good portion of the block and was a working horse farm until sections of it was sold off. John Seymour sold insurance and willed the estate to his 8 children. We prioritize preserving as much of the home’s history as possible, including repurchasing the land around it to make it whole again.

“I just want to make everything around me beautiful. And that will be my life.”
